My name is Sandra Chea, and I am a single mother of a wonderful 13-year-old girl. I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior (which means I am forgiven by God) and also made Him my Lord (which means that He gets to be the boss of my life). So, now I am on a life-long journey with God that both challenges and blesses me each and every day. Life is full but never dull.
Since making that decision, my hearts desire has been to be in full-time ministry; I love working with people of all ages and at all stages of life. My life has seen more than I care to mention here; if you are curious, I would love to share a cup of coffee in our coffee shop and chat.
After a previous bad church experience and two years of searching for a church where there was a balance of being grounded in the Word of God and allowing the Spirit of God to have His way, I landed here. God has graciously allowed me to work here at Mount Hood Christian Center for more than 8 years now. Currently I teach a class full of four-year-olds, and I am also the executive director of our afterschool care program. I absolutely LOVE all of my kids (as I affectionately call them). I couldn't do my job without the support of a fantastic staff who have a heart for God, our kids, and who also love to serve.
Worship is at the heart of who I am and who I want to be. True worship...where every aspect of who I am reflects the heart of God. I haven't arrived yet, so please be patient with me. As I mentioned...this is a journey and it is my hope that God will allow me to continue to be used to serve Him, to serve others and to grant me the ability to continually grow in love towards both.
